Bo's Place - Where Children are Heard and Hearts are Healed

The Vivian L. Smith Foundation recently funded a grant request, enabling Bo's Place to continue the mission of enhancing the lives of those who have experienced the loss of a loved one.  Thanks to The Vivian L. Smith Foundation for their continued generosity and support of our program.

A group of volunteers from the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Women’s Service Group recently spent time at Bo’s Place preparing several projects for the Family Support Groups.  The work they produced is extremely helpful for the activities we use in our support groups, so we are thankful for their support.

Volunteers from St. Martin’s Episcopal Church filled the Bo’s Place dining room with Valentine’s Day cheer last week!  Decked out in red, pink and white, the tables were decorated with stuffed animals, hearts and candy, while a fabulous dinner of chicken pasta was served to the families.  Sugared heart cookies were a super sweet dessert, and the children enjoyed goodie bags at the end of the night.  Thank you to wonderful friends at St. Martin’s for sharing your cheer with Bo’s Place families!
