Bo's Place - Where Children are Heard and Hearts are Healed

Team Bo’s Place has raised over $27,500 and donation are still coming in!  Way to go team!  Donations will be accepted on the Chevron Marathon site through February 15th.  Congratulations to David Sigler, our top fundraiser, who has raised $3,180 so far.  Way to go David!

Members of Kempner High School PALs (Peer Assistance and Leadership) prepared a wonderful dinner for Bo’s Place families recently.  Children and parents enjoyed an Italian meal, topped off with delicious cookies.  Thanks to these remarkable high school students for sharing their service with Bo’s Place!

Corrine Walijarvi recently became an invited manuscript reviewer for Death Studies, a peer-reviewed journal focusing on counseling, research, education, care and ethics in the field of grief and bereavement.  Bo’s Place congratulates Corrine for this outstanding acknowledgment of her academic contributions to the field.

Congratulations to Ronald P. Cuenod, Jr., Charles Neuhaus, and Michelle Woo for their recent appointment to the 2009-2010 Bo’s Place Board of Directors.  These three volunteers will no doubt continue to enrich our program through their leadership.
