Bo's Place - Where Children are Heard and Hearts are Healed

Bo's Place is featured in the most recent issue of the Buzz family of publications, offering support for grief during the holidays.  Board of Directors member and former family participant, Ronny Cuenod, as well as Executive Director, Mary Beth Staine, both participated in the article.  To view the online version, click here.

Join Bo’s Place and others across the country in wearing blue on November 17, 2011 as we come together to show support for children who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Thanks to a wonderful group of Will Rice College students from Rice University who volunteered at Bo's Place recently!  They helped Bo's Place with several projects, including painting rocks, preparing a blanket-making activity, cutting out hearts for balloon releases and our Hearts of Hope luncheon, and breaking pots for our "Pieces of Grief" activity. 

On top of coming on a weekend, they exceeded the amount of time they had planned to stay!  We appreciate these wonderful friends for their time and generosity.

Thank you to the West University Jason's Deli for providing TWO meals for Bo's Place Volunteer Facilitator Training this month!  District Sales Manager Desiree Schmidt provided fabulous food for our volunteers who are preparing to facilitate support groups.  We appreciate the West University Jason's Deli for their generosity and service to Bo's Place.

Thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers who joined us for Compassionate Houston's 9/11 10th Anniversary Remembrance.  Volunteers helped complete many service projects at Bo's Place, and then participated in a balloon release in rememberance of the 9/11 victims and those loved ones who have died.
