Bo's Place - Where Children are Heard and Hearts are Healed

The collaboration of Bo's Place staff and volunteers, Houston Grand Opera's HGOco, and the Society for the Performing Arts volunteers led to a memoriable first day of the 2011 Summer Daze @ Bo's Place.

The thirty participants were first met with the challenge of the rock wall.  Children supported and encouraged one another as they climbed to laughter and fun hip-hop music.

The Kindergarten Students at Oak Forest Elementary participated in the community wide Lemonade Day, designating their proceeds to be donated to Bo's Place.  The students raised $468!  Lemonade Day is a community wide educational initiative designed to teach children how to start, own and operate their own business-a lemonade stand.  Bo's Place says THANKS!

The Phi Delta Kappa Sorority so graciously volunteered their time to serve dinner to the Bo's Place families.  Our kitchen volunteers are an essential piece to the evening for our families attending the grief support groups.  Thank you Phi Delta Kappa!
