Bo's Place - Where Children are Heard and Hearts are Healed

Volunteers from St. Luke's United Methodist Church prepared quilt square panels for the Memory Quilt activity for Bo's Place families.  The Memory Quilts allow group members to commemorate their loved one by making a quilt square in their memory.  The quilts are then hung at Bo's Place in memory of the many who have died.  We appreciate these great volunteers for their contribution to this special activity.

For the second year in a row, Bo's Place received recognition from the Houston City Council honoring the organizations dedicated in working with victims' rights.  The Victim Service Unit of the Houston Police Department also invited Bo's Place as a partner organization whose mission helps further HPD's dedication to positively impacting the quality of life for the citizens of Houston and providing assistance to crime victims and their families.

Volunteers from Congregation Beth Israel provided a delicious lasagna dinner for our Monday Night Families on April 11, 2011.  We appreciate Bo's Place benefiting from the Congregation Beth Israel's Mitzvah Day Project.  Everyone enjoyed the meal!

A very sweet Brownie recently donated several boxes of cookies to Bo's Place for use in our family grief support programs.  She also surprised us with a monetary gift in honor of a friend. 

We appreciate this young volunteer's generosity and thoughtfulness.  Thank you, Lainey, for helping to serve other children in the Houston community!  We at Bo's Place think you're great!
