St. Martin's hosts annual Valentine's dinner

Volunteers from St. Martin’s Episcopal Church filled the Bo’s Place dining room with Valentine’s Day cheer last week!  Decked out in red, pink and white, the tables were decorated with stuffed animals, hearts and candy, while a fabulous dinner of chicken pasta was served to the families.  Sugared heart cookies were a super sweet dessert, and the children enjoyed goodie bags at the end of the night.  Thank you to wonderful friends at St. Martin’s for sharing your cheer with Bo’s Place families!

Hearts of Hope 2010: A Home Run!

The Hearts of Hope luncheon, chaired by Gretchen Anderson and Catherine Carrigan, was a heartwarming event celebrating the services Bo’s Place has provided for bereaved families in Houston and the many exciting opportunities yet to come.  Hearts of Hope was held Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Hilton Americas Hotel.  We had a sold out crowd entertained by Milo Hamilton, the voice of the Houston Astros, who was the emcee for the afternoon.  Our keynote speaker, Mary Sue Koontz Nelson, delivered an inspirational message, and then Patty and Craig Biggio were honored with the Robin Bush Award.  A heartfelt thank-you to all of our generous supporters and we hope to see you next year!
