Wishes for Growth
Thanks to Anne Pullen of the Garden Club of Houston, who generously donated over 400 bulbs to Bo’s Place, a new family support group activity was conceived. In late 2009, families of Bo’s Place planted the bulbs as a part of the “Wishes for Growth” activity. Now the bulbs are blooming, reminding participants that, just as a flower bulb changes from something rather strange and unattractive into a beautiful flower, so do people change and grow during the grief journey.
