Our Hearts of Hope Chairmen, Lauren Hamner and Eloise Novotny, invite you to join us for our annual luncheon.
Rahul Mehta will receive the Robin Bush Award, given each year to an individual in our community who has made a marked difference in the lives of children. Rahul is a former Bo’s Place board member and current advisory board member and was instrumental in the launch of Bo’s Place first offsite grief support groups for children and families in the Katy area. He has also dedicated his time to DePelchin Children’s Center, Houston Methodist Research Institute, Houston Methodist West Hospital, and Brookwood Community Center.
Our guest speaker will be Brian Griese, former NFL quarterback and current commentator for ESPN’s college football programming. Beyond his time on the field, Brian is dedicated to supporting grieving children as a part of his path to healing after experiencing the death of his mother, Judi, when he was a teen. Together with his father, he penned the book Undefeated: How a Father and Son Triumphed over Unbelievable Odds Both on and off the Field. Brian’s desire to help grieving children was fostered by his wife, Dr. Brook Griese, who is a clinical psychologist specializing in childhood loss. Together they founded Judi’s House in Denver, a grief and bereavement center for children and their families.
